Who We Are:

Natural Product Holdings is a quickly growing company holding a variety of brands, ranging from eco-friendly pest control & cleaning products (EcoClear Products) to hemp-infused pet products (PetFX) to health-boosting blends for dogs (AppleLove). Our intention is to make a positive impact on the world through more natural product options, across a variety of categories.

We’re looking to build long-term relationships by making the right hires, not the fastest. We’re a mixed remote/in-office team, so rely on project management software and interactive tools to make it all work.

The Stats:

• Three brands.
• 15 ish sub-brands. Working on launching more every day.
• DTC. Retail. Commercial. We play in and support all channels.
• You’ll work across industries/categories to start. Once we know you’re the expert in all our brands, there will be potential for you to specialize..

What You'll Do:

• Project plan new initiatives including product ideas, formulations and the full lifecycle of packaging.
• Be the expert on our products from start to finish. You’re the one to notice if a logo looks slightly off, or a bullet point doesn’t quite line up with overall marketing, or anything about the product is negatively impacting the customer impression.
• Manage relationships with ingredient suppliers and manufacturers to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Lead and monitor each project’s development via project management software like Asana, providing timely updates, helping address roadblocks, identifying risks and creating backup plans.
• Review all submissions as needed.
• Find and vet new ingredients and/or packaging to meet sustainability initiatives - this is a growing focus for us. There’s an opportunity to take the lead here if you are passionate about more sustainable packaging, moving toward carbon neutral, etc.
• Develop, document and transfer critical ingredient research, lab testing results, and specs in an organized manner. Seriously - you’re the most organized.
• Conduct patent and trademark searches.
• Provide feedback and approve artwork of packaging and labels. Knowledge of print logistics necessary - we have a designer to assist with artwork, but you’ll be responsible for what goes to print.
• Work together to produce and substantiate product claims, key ingredient stories and features & benefits summaries.
• Develop brand guidelines alongside product development so we hit the ground running with artwork, ads, and other assets.
• Ensuring that new products meet requested product attributes, performance targets and ingredient and regulatory requirements.
• Help develop and then manage your annual R&D budget.
• Evaluate and report on new competitive product launches
• Proactively review industry publications and stay on top of key product, ingredient and regulatory trends.
• Build an understanding of the categories and regional consumer differences to help identify new business opportunities.
• Play an active role in the development of a 3–5-year innovation strategy and product launch pipeline.

What We Need:

• 5+ years of experience in project management and product development. We’re looking for someone who can move fluidly between these responsibilities as we build out this team.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of the development and management lifecycles.
• An understanding of pet supplement development and regulatory pathways: NASC/ AAFCO experience would be extremely relevant.
• Knowledge of and experience with DSHEA/FDA supplements.
• Passion for science, natural solutions, alternative medicines, and research.
• Experience with audience and buyer persona research.
• Proficient in the typical office stuff like Microsoft, Google, Adobe.
• Familiarity with productivity platforms like Asana.
• You work well with minimal direction.
• We need someone who is extremely, obsessively, almost overly organized and detail-oriented.
• These should be obvious, but we kinda have to include them:
• Proven self-starter - independent thinking will be key.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work efficiently cross-functionally.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to be scrappy in a start-up setting.

A Plus:

• Experience with and interest in sustainability initiatives.
• Interest in green living, environment, pets, wildlife, nutrition, alternative medicines.

Other:

• This role works with the entire Marketing team, reports to the Director of Marketing, and has no direct reports.
• The more examples of your work you can provide, the better.
